Drink beer, live longer!

Up to 18 years you were told that drinking alcohol is bad. Later you were told that driving under the influence of alcohol is bad. The latter is definitely true, but the former? Scientists are not 100% sure.

During the five year long survey, the aplicants had 19% bigger chances  to die than those who regularly drank beer, two to three cups a day, several days a week, say researchers from University of  Virginia.

Those who never drank alcohol had about 56% more chances  to suffer from heart disease than those who regularly drank alcohol, say scientists. The survey was conducted over nearly half a million Americans.

What other  power  has alcohol except taht makes you great at karaoke?

Recent studies have shown that alcohol can raise good cholesterol, lowers bad cholesterol and may reduce problems with the blood that lead to clogged arteries. He may even reduce the risk of diabetes.

But this does not mean you have to drink one liter of alcohol every night or mix it with energy drinks.

  2. Well ive always heard good things about alcoholic drinks, such as beer to these effects, but mostly about Wine, perhaps it has to do in how it "forces" your system to flush the alcohol... all in moderation of course! :D

  4. I've heard it theorized that moderate alcohol consumption reduces the effects of stress because it helps us forget about stuff before we go to bed. I don't know if there's any truth to that or not.
